Global Grad Show 2019

Brief

Our commission was the construction of a 710 sqm exhibition space spread over two sites, with partitioned areas, electricity, lighting, shelving and display units. This included 410 walls ranging from 2.6 to almost 8 meters high.

Solution

While fulfilling the client’s creative vision, we were able to articulate one of the event’s central themes, environmental sustainability. We provided the client with a groundbreaking and eco-friendly solution – SLIK walls,a patented innovation for events and exhibitions set ups created by our partner in Germany. SLIK is based on a light aluminium framework which can be arranged in different combinations and covered with wood panels, fabric, lightboxes etc. It can be used to form display walls and signages or even to produce entire concepts such as pop-up stores and exhibition booths. SLIK was designed with sustainability in mind and all its components are re-usable: it allowed us to use 80% wood on this project compared to a traditional built construction.

Our client was able to exploit the flexibility and creative options SLIK offers using it as the main component of the entire exhibition. The stylish industrial look of SLIK was integrated into the design creating a unique futuristic atmosphere.
