Rental Account Manager – Tent (F/M)

Reporting to: Rental Operations Manager
Territory: UAE - GCC

Under the guidance of the Rental Operations Manager, the Rental Account Manager – Tent will be the point of contact with sales functions (BDMs, AMs) for quotation preparation based on client requirements and will be in charge of job preparation (if no PM allocated), to deliver projects in good conditions & make jobs profitable.

Main Accountabilities (list is non exhaustive):

Sales

  • Provide tent solutions for every incoming tent inquiry
  • Develop existing clients with growth potential
  • Achieve sales targets provided by management
  • Identify potential future projects
  • Share leads and opportunities with other sales functions
  • Issue weekly reporting in compliance with management requirements
  • Use Microsoft NAV and Easy job efficiently
  • Work with other departments to meet customer needs
  • Analyse market, competition and report accordingly
  • Work proactively with the marketing department

Costing

  • Provide clients, sales functions, and design office with technical solutions for project preparation
  • Assist teams in defining project production cost (liaising with all other departments & sub-contractors) including contractors or costing directly to clients if applicable
  • Prepare proposals with individual solutions for external and internal clients
  • Deal with client requests in the most efficient and cost-effective way
  • Understand stock management and stock inventory

Project Preparation & Follow Up

  • Ensure proper handover to an account manager of recurring account when necessary
  • Ensure that the project files (preparation, production, installation and dismantling) are complete for review by all departments and liaise with the account manager / operations
  • Prepare Health and Safety documentations and certificates required (RAMS)
  • Liaise with the account manager to inform of any challenges faced and regular updating of production budgets
  • Analyse project profitability and define areas of improvement

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Good knowledge of tent business and equipment
  • Ability to analyses data and understand connections
  • Sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage clients
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Events industry knowledge

Knowledge & experience: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the events & exhibitions industry
  • 3 years’ experience in a tent department as project manager
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) , Sketch up and CAD
  • English proficiency
