Chief Financial Officer (F/M)

Territory: UAE - GCC

Job Overview

As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will be responsible for the accuracy of the finance, accounting and management of the IT as well as Legal department.

Set forth business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved.

Contribute to development and strategic planning as a member of the Management Committee.

Main Accountabilities (list is non exhaustive):

Management of 4 direct reports from Accounting team, IT Function and Legal department

  • Finance: Manage all aspects of Finance & Accounting (including but not limited to P&L, BS, AP/AR, Capex, Assets….) regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance controller responsibilities include also financial risk management.
  • IT: Assess and develop project in line with the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure, security and tools to achieve global digitalization
  • Legal: Maintain high level of compliance

Responsible for Group Accounting and Reporting as per regulatory & legal requirements

  • 5 legal entities
  • Oversee external Audit process for 5 companies (IFRS) & for Group consolidation at GCC level
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Group Finance HQ as requested
  • In charge of financial communication with the Group Finance HQ

Develop and maintain Finance goals

  • Ensure Profits and Losses are documented accurately
  • Monitor all taxes that apply including VAT
  • Ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate project accounting
  • Develop and support achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and analyse information to assess the current and future financial status of the Company
  • Prepare the Annual Operating Budget for all Group companies
  • Provide analytical support to identify cost drivers & cost savings
  • Monitor variances of actuals vs budget & previous years and challenge non efficient areas of the business
  • Prepare rolling Forecasts

Cash flow management

  • Forecast cash position (monthly)
  • Oversee working capital optimisation
  • Ensure financing of investment projects

 Bank relations

  • Establish & maintain good relations with banking partners
  • Review terms & conditions of all accounts & facilities
  • Examine, evaluate, and process loan applications

Responsible for Internal control

  • Identify potential risks & monitor respect of internal procedures
  • Fixed Assets safeguard & investments follow up
  • Organisation of the annual year-end stock count

Cross functional Project Management

  • Identify areas of process improvements across the company, propose & implement solutions
  • Evaluate Finance information system needs, propose & implement solutions

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience as CFO (min 10 years) and Experience with corporate governance
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • High level of integrity and results-oriented
  • Fluent in English. French or German is a plus
